Privacy & data handling.
In plain English: what I collect from the booking form, what I do with it, what I never do with it, and how to make me forget any of it.
§ 01 What I collect
When you submit the booking form on this site, I collect:
- Your name. So I know who I'm calling back.
- Phone & email. Whichever I reach you on first.
- Visit type. In-shop or house call.
- Service address. Only if you pick "House call." Never asked otherwise.
- Machine, symptom, urgency, and any notes you type. So I show up with the right tools.
That's everything. There is no hidden field, no second form, no tracking pixel logging what you almost typed.
§ 02 How it gets to me
The booking form posts to Web3Forms, a third-party form relay. They package it as an email and forward it to my inbox. I then reply to you directly. Web3Forms' own privacy terms describe how they handle it on their side; they don't add it to a marketing list of mine because I don't have one.
§ 03 Cookies & trackers
This site sets no cookies of its own. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no session replay, no heatmap. I don't even know if you visited.
A few third-party services this site loads can set their own cookies or log your request — outside my control:
- Google Maps — one embedded map on the booking page. Loaded only when that section is in view.
- Google Fonts — the typography. Google logs the request per their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Pages — where this site is hosted. Cloudflare logs basic request metadata (IP, user-agent, timing) for abuse prevention.
§ 04 Your machine's data
I never copy data off your device without your explicit permission.
If a repair requires me to make a working copy (e.g., for data recovery, drive imaging, or before a risky migration), I tell you first, do the minimum necessary, and wipe the working copy from my shop drives after pickup unless you ask me to hold it longer.
If your repair needs access to one of your accounts (iCloud, Microsoft, email, etc.), you sign in in front of me. I don't store, write down, or photograph passwords. If a password manager is needed, we use yours.
§ 05 Where it lives, how long
- Booking emails: kept in my inbox for service history and follow-up. Removed on request.
- Notes & estimates: kept as long as the repair is open or covered by my follow-up window. Removed on request.
- Receipts: kept for tax purposes per Missouri requirements. Personal details on receipts are minimized.
There is no separate customer database. There is no mailing list. There is no resale.
§ 06 Who else sees it
Nobody, unless required by law. I don't sell, rent, share, swap, or "let partners contact you about offers." If a court compels disclosure (subpoena, warrant), I'll comply with the narrowest possible response.
§ 07 Your rights
- See what I have on you. Email me and I'll send back a copy within 7 days.
- Correct it. Tell me what's wrong and I'll fix it.
- Delete it. Ask, and I'll remove what I can within 7 days. (Tax-record receipts are the one exception, kept as legally required.)
- Take it elsewhere. If you want a portable copy, I'll send it as plain text.
§ 08 Kids
This service is for adults arranging computer repair. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian books on behalf of a minor's device, the contact details should be the adult's.
§ 09 Changes
If this policy changes, the Last updated date at the top will change with it. Material changes get a note on the booking page until enough time has passed that people have seen it.
