Chapter IV · The Technician

Meet the
attending technician.

I'm Rob. I've been making sick computers well again as 1&0 Computer Care since 2018, and I finished my Bachelor's in Cybersecurity in 2026. I don't sell upsells, I don't talk over you, and I won't quote a number bigger than it needs to be. I show up, I listen, I fix it.

"If I can't fix it, you don't pay. That's the only policy you need to remember."

Chapter VIII · Bedside Manner

Frequently asked
questions.

Quick answers. If yours isn't here, just call. I pick up.

Q 01What if you can't fix my machine?+

You don't pay. Simple as that. The diagnostic is free and there's no charge if I can't make the original problem go away. I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth repairing, and if it isn't, I'll help you figure out what comes next.

Q 02How does pricing work?+

Free diagnostic, then $100 for the first hour of recorded work (most jobs fit inside this). Anything beyond that is $50/hr against actual recorded time. House calls add a flat $100 trip charge, with the initial payment due upon arrival. Parts are billed at cost. Receipt available.

Q 03Are you open on weekends?+

Yes. Seven days a week, 10am to 7pm. Christmas is the one exception. Everything is by appointment so your device gets real attention instead of being lost in a drop-off pile.

Q 04Do you work on Macs & PCs?+

Both. Comfortable in macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS. Hardware repairs, software cleanup, and data work on all of them.

Q 05Where exactly do you serve?+

Home base is Festus. Regular service in Crystal City, Herculaneum, De Soto, Hillsboro, Arnold, and Imperial. Basically Jefferson County and south St. Louis County. Not listed? Reach out anyway, we can probably work something out.

Q 06Is my data private?+

Yes. I never copy data off your machine without permission, and any working copies are wiped from my shop drives after pickup. The privacy & data handling policy is published in full on the main site.

Q 07How do I pay?+

Cash, NFC (tap-to-pay), debit, or credit. Cash is preferred and has no fee. NFC, debit, and credit payments include a flat 5% convenience fee to cover processing. For house calls, the initial payment is due upon arrival.
